BOROUGHBRIDGE 1 FC BOSTON 2
With the Division One title virtually decided the runners up spot now looks likely to be a race between Harrogate CSC and FC Boston following ‘Bridge’s latest defeat. It was the home side that took the early initiative and on 10 minutes Danny Webster swept home a Paul Scaife cross after he had been put through by Ben Clayton. This is how it stayed until eight minutes before the break and it was Chris Plews who brought his side back on terms with a quality volley that gave Alastair Hogg no chance. There was little to choose between the two sides in the second half and what proved to be the winning goal was a scrappy affair from Marcus Stapleton even though the same player was guilty of a glaring miss five minutes from time when clear through on goal.
