BOROUGHBRIDGE 0 HARROGATE CSC 2
Youth and exuberance has got Bridge through many tight matches this season but on this occasion they paid the price for their preparation with this Knock Out Cup semi final defeat. They started brightly enough with Paul Eagling and Danny Webster posting early warnings but were hindered by injuries to Webster and Paul Scaife and then a goal from Graham Whitehead on the stroke of half time following a Chris Chapman mistake proved a further setback. Bridge conceded a second within ten minutes of the restart which was disappointing for keeper Alastair Hogg who produced a magical save to deny Neil Blaken but when the ball was played back in, his defence were static, allowing Blaken to head home. After this Bridge huffed and puffed but CSC were never seriously troubled and it was only in the last few minutes that a Steve Paffett header caused Dan Skelton to make his first serious save of the morning.
