SCHOLES 5 BOROUGHBRIDGE 0
After such a promising start Bridge’s season has crumbled and this was evident in the hodgepodge of players they had on display. They were without a recognized goalkeeper and the first serious action for Chris Chapman was to pick the ball out of the net a from a Scott Wood penalty after he had been brought down in the box by Ben Clayton. It was déjà vu 12 minutes later with the same result from the spot after Chapman had pulled Wood down in the area. A period of calm followed before Jamie Ball fired the third into Chapman’s bottom corner and ten minutes later a deflection from Simon Thompson had the Bridge keeper wrong footed. The scoring was completed with a 25 yard volley from Justin Murr as the hodgepodge disintegrated.
