In their inaugural season in the York Corinthians League Bridge Vets continued on their winning ways with a convincing victory over Leeds based side Old Manstonians. First half goals from Kelvin Bainbridge, a Paul Stephenson brace and Jamie Smith gave them a comfortable half time lead with the visitors denied their only real chance of the half by stand in keeper Dale Binns. In the second half Bridge sustained their momentum with Stephenson again on target with two cracking drives that gave the visiting keeper no chance as they nestled in the bottom corner. Jamie Smith added his second following an excellent team move and the game was rounded off with an own goal from the unfortunate Ian Cartwright.
